Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Huntcam.ai. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

Who we are

Huntcam.ai is operated by Sammut Software Oy (business ID 2688524-9), registered in Finland. Reach us at huntcam@sammutsw.com.

What the service does

Huntcam.ai receives photographs emailed by your trail cameras, stores them, analyses them with an artificial intelligence provider, and shows them to you in one place. You may make a location public, unlisted, or keep it private.

Your account

You need an account to manage cameras. Give accurate details, keep your sign-in secure, and tell us if someone else gets into your account. You are responsible for what is done through it. You must be 18 or older, or have the consent of a parent or guardian and be old enough to enter a contract where you live.

What you may not do

• Place a camera, or upload an image, in breach of any law — including privacy, data protection, hunting, trespass and surveillance law where the camera stands.
• Use the service to watch, follow or identify a particular person.
• Upload content that is unlawful, or that you have no right to use.
• Interfere with the service, try to reach parts of it or data in it that are not yours, or automate access in a way that degrades it for others.
• Resell the service or pass your account to someone else.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why unless the law stops us.

Your content

Your photographs and the text you write stay yours. To run the service we need permission to host, copy, process, analyse and display them, so you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to do exactly that and nothing more. It lasts as long as you keep the content with us, and it extends to whoever you choose to share a location with.

You confirm that you may lawfully upload what you upload. If a photograph identifies a person, the obligations that follow are yours; our privacy policy explains how we handle a request from someone who appears in an image.

Analysis is a description, not advice

The analysis is produced by an artificial intelligence model. It gets things wrong: it miscounts animals, misses them, and describes things that are not there. Do not rely on it for any decision that matters, including anything about safety or about the lawfulness of a hunt.

Availability and changes

The service is provided as it is, with no promised level of availability. We may change it, add and remove features, or stop offering it. If we stop, or if we make a change that substantially reduces what you get, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to retrieve your content.

Price

The service is free today. If we introduce charges, we will say so before they apply to you, and you will be able to decline and close your account instead.

Ending it

You may stop using the service at any time, and you may ask us to close your account. We then delete the account and the content that belongs to it, on the schedule set out in the privacy policy. We may end your access if you break these terms, or on reasonable notice if we stop offering the service.

Liability

We provide the service without warranties beyond those the law requires of us. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profit, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred euros if that is more.

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. If you use the service as a consumer, your mandatory rights under the law of the country you live in are unaffected by these terms.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes go to the District Court of Helsinki. If you are a consumer in the EU you may instead sue, and be sued, in the courts of the country you live in, and you keep the protection of that country’s mandatory consumer law. A consumer in Finland may also take a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi) after contacting the Consumer Advisory Service.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The date at the top is when they last changed. If a change is material, we notify every registered user by email before it takes effect; using the service afterwards means you accept it, and if you do not, close your account.
